We were a group of six, ages 12 to 46, and we did the Heart Creek Canyon canyoning experience. We were all a little nervous of exactly what it would be like, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we had a great time. Although our excursion was in mid-July, the water was incredibly cold. This is the reason that the company provides thick wetsuits, and they were perfect. Keep in mind that in order to canyon DOWN the waterfalls, you must walk UP the mountains needed to get to the top. We were able to do that, but it was intense (especially with the backpack of gear on your back). This is not for individuals who are not physically fit. Our guide gave expert instructions. There is a technique for everything… how to put on your wetsuit, how to repel safely, how to disconnect from ropes, and how to walk on rocks without falling… all of the instructions were clear and reasonable. In addition to instruction, each person is eased into how the experience works so that you’re completely comfortable. We had a fantastic time and would do it again in a heartbeat. Do not miss out on this adventure tour group. They’re the BEST!

I cannot recommend this company enough! The owner, Marc, is super nice and when I had to reschedule due to an unexpected injury, he was more than understanding and helpful with rearranging dates for me! Our guide today, Kris (Chris?), is engaging, approachable and very calm. I met him only today and I had no hesitation trusting him. I felt confident and safe throughout the whole tour. The actual canyon was challenging due to the slippery rocks so if you have knee issues, do at your own risk. And another commendable thing with Kris is that I mentioned to him that I am recovering from a torn ACL and he accommodated it with a few breaks up the hill and with tips when jumping in shallow pools. A few tips on what to bring — light snacks, like a protein bar or a sandwich, a bottle of water for each person would do. There’s not much time to eat honestly. It wasn’t rushed, but it wasn’t slow either. It’s one pool and rappel after the other once you start going down the canyon. It takes about an hour to get to the parking area and another 20 minute walk to the bottom of the canyon. From there, you scramble up the hill - can’t tell you how high - but about 30 minute and it’s quite steep so you’re going to want to wear shoes with a good grip. Oh and it doesn’t matter what you do, your feet are going to be wet the whole time as you cross a creek three times on the way to the bottom of the canyon. The wet suits did their job though and it was such A gorgeous day that jumping in those pools were quite refreshing. The final rappel was the greater challenge for me because of my ACL… I was afraid I’d slip if I put too much pressure on it so I had a hard time going down. But with a couple of encouraging tips from Kris, I was able to make my way down with no more hiccups. Slow but it was safe. I never felt like I was I danger of falling as Kris was controlling a back up rope. It was our first time canyoning and it was an amazing experience! My partner and I are definitely going to do the advanced canyon sometime next year (once I’m fully recovered of course!) Definitey worth every penny spent. Can’t beat memories like today! Thanks, Kris and BVC tours!

This tour was just incredibly beautiful and SO much fun!!! I did the Ghost Canyon full day and couldn't have wished for a better experience! Kris is an awesome guide who I trusted 100 percent. He gave the right amount of instructions and encouragement and was super nice to talk to. The drive to the Canyon itself is almost worth the money, the gravel road is a lot of fun and the views are amazing. Highly recommend this place to everyone who enjoys active outdoor activities with a bit of a challenge. Bring hiking shoes rather than running shoes, far better choice even though they will take a while to dry afterwards 🙂

The Heart Creek beginning course was the highlight of our trip to Banff. Pablo, our guide, was great at teaching us, keeping us safe, and encouraging us. By the time we got to the 75-meter wall, we were ready and it was a thrill! Wear shoes that can get soaked and keep a dry pair in your car to change into at the end. My husband and I didn't bring our iPhones and we both enjoyed focusing on nature (and survival) instead of getting the best selfie.

First things first, we had a great time and wholeheartedly recommend this canyon tour. I am always dubious of service providers in general (do most of my own repairs) and tour operators in particular. I frequently just feel cheated. This canyoning trip was my daughters' idea. They found it online. I was uncertain, but after dragging the family on several long hikes, I felt I should let them decide. I should take them to the track, because my daughters pick winners. We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! Our guide/instructor, Mark, was the best. He was a patient and thorough teacher. He helped everyone there (our group and another couple) according to their abilities. Then, he gave us the opportunity to push our limits. While we had no problem with the hike, he told us it was "easy", I could see people having trouble. There is a lot of uphill, as you might expect. The water is cold, but we are cold plunge fans, and found it very refreshing - like drinking three cups of coffee! Again, I cannot stress how great Mark was. This will be something that we talk about for years. My daughters are looking into buying equipment!
